Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 Sportwagon - 1994
The second Espace Sbarro class had two projects: a concept car (Oxalys) and a transformation of a production vehicle, namely the Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 with a new station wagon body.
Official order
This study of a station wagon
based 155 is an official Alfa Romeo order. This proves the
seriousness and reputation of the Espera Center's training
program, which is only two years old. Alfa Romeo will call on
Sbarro several times in the future, notably for the Issima and
Diva. Alfa Romeo has not marketed a station wagon version of
the 155. It is therefore design work to be carried out by
Espera students. For reasons of cost, only the rear section
will be reworked, while keeping the rear doors and rear lights
unchanged.
Sports car
The car donated by Alfa Romeo
is a 155 Q4, powered by a Lancia Delta Integrale engine,
developing 195 horsepower. The Q4 is four-wheel drive.
Performance is first-rate 220 km/h top speed and around 7
seconds from seconds from 0 to 100 km/h
Unique bodywork
The 155's design lends itself
well transformation into a station wagon. The students
designed a integrated rear end. The profile is not unbalanced
as is sometimes the case with this style of conversion. Only
the wheels seem a little small.
To underline the sporty of
this Sportwagon, a body kit from Zender has been was fitted.
Zender is well known in France for equipping the the Renault
11 turbo. If the project had gone to market, Zender would have
been able to supply the kit without any problem.
In brief
