Sbarro Brescia - 1985

The Sbarro Brescia is not a replica, but an evocation of the Italian sports cars that raced in the Mille Miglia (Ferrari, Maserati and Cisitalia).

Choice

No racing engines here, no V12 Ferraris. To remain affordable, the Brescia can be equipped with Fiat, Lancia or BMW engines. The example above is powered by a BMW six-cylinder from a 325, developing 171 hp. The gearbox is a five-speed manual. The car is a rear-wheel drive. The catalog of the Unicorn company, which sold the Sbarro, states that it is possible to install a BMW 320 (about 120 hp) or 635 Csi (286 hp) engine. I don't know how many Brescias were produced, or with which engine.

Leather and carpet

The interior of the Sbarro Brescia is luxurious, with leather throughout and carpets on the floor. The polyester bodywork is of the highest quality. The atmosphere of the Mille Miglia cars is there. It's easy to forget you're in a new car, and feel like you're on Italian roads in the 1960s.
