Sbarro Bizzarini

The ACA's activities in its very first brochure are divided into two categories: constructions (such as the Dominique III) and transformations. In the latter category, we find the transformation of GT40s into road-going versions and this Bizzarini.

The only photograph of the Bizzarini transformed by Sbarro, from the first ACA brochure..

The only one with a GT40 engine ?

In his book "La mécanique dans le sang", Franco Sbarro refers to this car as Bizzarini Stradale 7-liter. The owner, no longer able to tolerate the car's mechanical problems, asked Franco Sbarro, in the early days of the ACA, to replace the engine with a Ford GT40. Sbarro also created a number of luxury interior fittings.

On the isorivolta.fr website, I found the following note: "At René Maucort's request, a car with a modified chassis was fitted with a 7-liter V8. Too heavy, the engine altered the weight distribution, and unbalanced the car." Is this the car transformed by Sbarro? Did it keep its GT40 engine? I haven't found out anything else about this Bizzarini.
