Haze

Haze is a sporty prototype that aims to evolve. Indeed, the car exhibited at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show will be improved, both aerodynamically and mechanically.

Haze means mist. Yet all seems clear with this sporty prototype (photo UTBM/Espera).

28-68

As usual, the Espera students outdid themselves. There were 28 of them, working like mad for 68 days to design and build the Haze. The car was barely finished for the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The LMP endurance racing inspiration is obvious. But the Haze is unlikely to line up at the start of a race.

Évolutive

The Haze is set to evolve over the next few years, reworked by future classes of students. When it first came out, the Haze was powered by a 5-cylinder turbocharged engine from an Audi S4. The engine has been upgraded from the original 230 hp to 300 hp. The multi-tubular steel chassis was designed by the students. The bodywork is made of composite materials to limit weight to just 900 kilos.
