Sbarro Aero - 2000

his strange vehicle, kind of sidecar was presented in 2000 to promote the watch Sbarro. This single-style watch takes the principle of of the orbital wheel without a hub. A watchmaking feat carried out by Eric Varone, founder of the company NET (News Aesthetics of Time). The design of the watch was entrusted. to Jorg Hysek. The Aero was designed by Franco Sbarro to establish the link between the Orbital Wheel and the watch.

The handlebars take place in the front orbital wheel. The pilot is "integrated" into the bodywork.

Making life with the machine

Of course, what comes as much as possible in the Aero is the driving position of the pilot who places his hands on the handlebar placed in the wheel. Fully streamlined, the pilot and the machine are integral and seem to merge. The lying down must not be the best way to Comfort material. The Aero is powered by a Honda engine 250 horses and could in theory achieve the speed of 300 km/h.

In 2008, the Aero returned to service. She was exhibited in October at the Paris Motor Show, November 2008 and 2014 in Essen and Geneva in March 2009.
